ECU swap

Hello everyone

Would an ECU from a 1993 Tracker auto 2X4 work in a 1991 Tracker 4X4?
I am pretty sure this will work but has anyone else tried this? If so how did it go?

all i can say is match the numbers on the ecm. that is the best way to swap them.

you forgot to show full spec on both cars.

the issue is
doors
displacment.
TBI, MPI
AT - or MT.
4wd and 2wd
calif, or fed 48 ? oops.


but if both cars are 8v (91 is yours )

the pn list , complete.

see 93 has 56b30 and so does 91 . what more do you need.

in 94 , the make U use a EGR thermo sensor.

95 is a no go.

it can be made to work if you run the EGR therm wire and add the EGR for that year.

and of course legal is another quesiton, match year and number and US tag.
