IMHO...I'm thinking that the hardtop won't add any value at all. I have one for mine also. I drove over 1000 miles to get it. Because "I" wanted one. Best bet for you would be to toss the soft top back on it and sell that way (if you were going to sell). Sell the hardtop seperate and you'll make more $$, as the tops are hard to come by.
Basically, you have to look at investments of this nature in comparison to being a boat owner. You sink loads of $$$ into it, but never get it back. Consider the removable HT a personal luxury item. Most won't care unless they are really into these vehicles.
I don't think the soft tops are that great looking..not to mention they stretch, are noisy, and cold in the winter, not to mention that it helps with security etc...I had got very good at removing and putting the soft top on/off....
I can already tell the difference having the hard top on..and glad I was able to finally find one at a good price!
It's ONLY 4 large bolts that hold the rear hard top in place...it will actually be easier to take on/off than the soft top.
