Default Locking Hubs

Do all Tack/Kick 4x4's come with factory oem looking hubs?

Are all of them manual?

I had a Chevy S-10 with 4x4 and everything was controlled from interior---Thanks

Is that auto trans also? And which would you prefer the manual lock or the auto lock?

I prefer manual hubs all the way. Less prone to failure. Just make sure you lock them in BEFORE you even THINK you may need them.

The other plus side to manual hubs is the ability to have low range in 2WD. Just leave them unlocked and put the transfer case in 4WD low range.

depends on models, JA,JS,JX JLX ,,etc.
and 2doors and 4doors are equipped quite different.

some like autos but be sure you do a clean and lube every fall.

or they will fail, just when you need them.

i have them hot tanked then lubed with marine GP grease , never pack full.

if really wanting reliablity , replace the o-rings to.
