Default it ok to use premium gas on 94 geo tracker

Why?

I am drive 280 miles on Friday I want keep cylinder little cooler.

It ok to use premium gas since I heard they burn slow and not hot enough.

I did in 97 suziki x90 mpg improve from 22 to 25 mpg by use premium gas.

I am not try use 93 I say 91 which is mid premium gas is that ok?

What about Shell V power gas worth to try?

Firstly, the car doesn't need higher octane fuels, so you're wasting your money there, and secondly, if the engine doesn't have a high enough compression ratio to warrant the use of high octane fuels, you'll be reducing your gas mileage due to losses in efficiency. If you're concerned about the temperature of your motor, make sure your engine is tuned properly and your cooling system is in good shape. Another thing, gas companies try to sway you to use their gas by advertising their additives in their fuel. This is malarkey pure and simple. All fuels have detergents, so go to your nearest and cheapest gas stations to fill up.

the purpose of the higher octane fuel
is to allow you to raise the compression ration CR.
this increases power AND efficiency of the engine.
but, doing so causes low octane to detonate (ping or knock is the slang)
this Pinging will destroy the motor is short order.

so what you do to solve this issue, is to up the octane and or add water injection.
that purpose. High Octane solves to burns too fast issue of REGULAR gas.

putting high octane in a low CR motor is just like throwing money down a drain.
the motor tunes it self to Regular and runs perfect, in fact the manual says run regular for that very reason.

if you want to argue , additives, that is a whole diff matter.

you can google the above and find a million hit, just like it.
or just login into and read SAE.org. IT'S ALL THERE.
read what the engineers say there, they designed your car.

or go to any mechanical engineering department xxx University.org, and read their posts.
even test they do proving all these theories and facts.

and is the rear cylinder the runs hottest. (furthest from the pump)

My recommendation is to:
run good oil (don't need to be synthetic )
keep the level to the top of the dip sick so it don't over heat.
change oil often.4 to 5k. (the older the more often)
Drive at rational speeds. 65. not 85
keep motor running right not with bad sensors. and the like.
keep fresh hoses and belts on car, don't run them for 20 years.
Put in the best OEM style air filter you can by, not for flow but for filtration.
all filters let dirt into the motor, some way less.
those cold air kits ,, many are crap. (independent testing proved it)

that is my 2cents. YMMV, IMHO. etc.
