Default heater controls not working

does anyone have the fsm pages for the blower motor circuit? my heater doesnt work, but i think its just a loose connection. the blower only works on full blast, and that only if i jiggle it around and get it to exactly the right spot. recently i havnt been able to get it to turn on at all. if i put my hand up to the vent i can feel hot air. its just not blowing out.
it seems to me like ill just have to replace the controls but i dont know for sure, and if it will save me a few bucks i have no problems "ghetto rigging" it together just to make it work.
but before i tear into the oh so delicate dash of the tracker i want to look over the pages and wiring diagrams in the fsm (i dont trust my haynes)

ah,
the blower is powered by resistor bank. fitted to heater housing (air cooled resistors)
so its the wires. the switch or the resistors.
blower? id dought its bad.

you could put in a toggle switch and have Off and ON.

road map is very simple on 93

its gotta be the switch. i pulled the face off and messed with the switch for the blower and could get it to turn on when pushing down on it with a screwdriver. so i guess my next question would be, are there any little tricks to make the switch work?

and by the way, jerry. do you live in WA? i noticed in your reply to another one of my post you mentioned harbor freight being right up the street, which it is about 5 minutes up the street

I had a similar problem, bought a blower motor controler (resistor) from the dealler, it was maybe $20.00. Drop your glove dox door down and behind it you will find it. Pull off the wire take out the 2 screws and install the new one.
It solved my problem.
Hope it helps Mitch

I had the same problem and turned out to be the switch. There is a single ball bearing that makes the contact to four contacts.
There are plastic clips that broke in mine, so I pushed the switch back in place, put some super glue where plastic clips used to be and then put a zip tie around the switch to hold it all in place.
Hope this helps.

it is, yes , im in the south

if you wiggle the switch and power goes to the blower,
then its the switch or the wires/connections bad.

sometimes one can fix a bad switch , this one? i dont know.
some can be cleaned , or taken apart and burnished.

depends on who made the switch and when.
