Default Thread pitch and diameter of exhaust bolts, please?

I just picked up the rig in my sig. It's got a blown out gasket between the manifold and the twin pipes. It's that funky little oval shaped gasket with the three bolt holes in it.

Now on to my problem. The reason the gasket blew out is my manifold is missing one of the studs and one of the others is missing the nut. So my whole exhaust is held onto the manifold by one nut!!

Does anyone know off the top of their head what the stud thread pitch and diameter is? And is it the same where it goes into the manifold as it is where the nut screws on?

I've got the gasket and all tools ready, I just need to know what nut and bolt to pick up (no, I'm not replacing the stud. The Zuk wannabe will die some horrible death before that bolt ever needs to come out again).

I use the beastie for my work (road side assistance), and end up driving it about 1,500 miles a week on mixed traffic. Everything from idling in 1st to foot on the floor trying not to get run over at 80+mph on the freeway. Needless to say, a small leak at the front main seal plus the exhaust leaking right there could equal an engine fire!! I've got a little time today to get it fixed, just have no idea what size bolt and nut I need.

And no, I can't seem to get the one remaining nut off. No matter what wrench I put on there, it's like it's the wrong size. LOL

you are asking for magic.
little happens on any machines, all machines need TLC, or they will fail at the wrong moment.
80mph is way to fast for 2000 lb. 1.6l, top heavy brick. you are kidding right.?
IMHO.

you need a wide track wrangler for speed like that. and 4.0L of push.

doormne makes a neew intake for $99 clams.
the suz pn for stud is, 01411-10253.

did a google search on that and its 10mm diameter.
pitch, ?
the iso std. is 1.5 course, and 1.25 and1.0 for fine.

by 2 nuts , try both.

PS Oriellys store has Dorman rack with exact size for suk , manifold. get the 10mm pack.
and
rockauto

DORMAN Exhaust : Exhaust Manifold Stud and Nut Auto Parts

bolsal pn. 258943

any auto store worth salt can find it or cross it.

IMHO

I did have a 95 Grand Cherokee, but the owner of the company I work for won't pay for the gas for it. Said I needed a 4cyl. I wasn't giving up my 4WD. So I got the Tracker.

Driving around on the freeways (I-15, I-80 and I-205) in Salt Lake, you either go 75-85 minimum or you get driven over by the semi trucks doing almost 90. So I have no choice. Neither do the other Tracker, Sidekick, Samurai or even Smart car drivers. I even saw an early 70's VW Beetle trying in vain to keep up. It just about got smeared three times in the less than two minutes I had it in view.

I've driven in Vancouver, Toronto, Winnepeg, DC, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, LA, San Fran, San Diego, Tokyo, Bahrain, Subic Bay, Bombay, London, Glasgow, Paris and Berlin. Never have I seen such a bunch of suicidal maniacs behind the wheel as these Mormons are around here. The only places that have even come close were the VW taxi drivers in Acapulco and the Camry taxi drivers in S Korea.

But, I have to make a living, and since nobody around here wants to hire a military trained and experienced electronics technician, I get to do road side assistance.

Oh, and you were right. The studs are in fact 10X1.25. Too bad nobody for three states around me has the correct gasket that goes between the manifold and the exhaust pipe. All they have is a Felpro 23566, which has the wrong diameter for the exhaust ports, the wrong diameter for the stud holes, and the stud holes are in the wrong place for the studs... GRRRRRRRR.

sorry, good luck at 85. (indicated 85 and actual is far less)

gee, i guess my home state,is slow, they run radar or Lidar 24/7 up here.
and work in teams. over 70 get nailed. huge budget losses.
no seat belt , HOV illegal, speeding. HUGE ticket, (not me.)

im your 1969 echo, same job in military and lots of Pac rim driving.

worst is in SA. (seen 100s of taxi drivers buffallo a bus. , fun to watch.)

yes they have 2 diff header size patterns , forgot to say, sorry.

that little 8v , you are working the dog crap out of that little motor.
it is not up to that. for long.

but here is this country, its the catatonic cell phone idiots. worse than drunks and 100 times as many, and they all think they can drive, not.

wide birth them, and live.

i can spot a cell idiot now as easy as a drunk.
I practice watching them..

saw one drag off his right side door handles on barrier wall, just kept driving like nothing every happened. very funny to watch.

Rockauto has the parts, some Autozones stock them and Oriellys.

My speedo is about 10% off (on the high side). Tomtom GPS is what I go by. I've only had to maintain 80+ a couple times. I generally try to tuck in behind the Walmart trucks. They are speed limited to 75mph, so no choice there and there aren't too many cars that can argue with a fully loaded 40 ton semi truck. LOL

Yeah, those Camry drivers in Pusan Korean were pretty insane. Brand new car, still had the plastic wrap on the seats. Side swipe a 5 ton panel van and just keep right on going. Blow through a red light, clip bumper corners with another insane maniac going cross ways, keep right on going. I think they go through a car a day there...

And the cell phone yuppies around here are pretty bad, too. Completely oblivious to what's going on around them. I've talked to many of the LEO's around here and 75-80% of the TC's are all due to people not paying attention while talking on the cell phone. Meh, and we wonder why we're paying exorbitant insurance rates in this no-fault state.
