Default Free Workshop Manual - Tracker, Sidekick Etc

I haven't downloaded this myself because I have the OEM Manuals. But for those of you in need of some literature, you might want to have a look.

Your link works fine, but the link on the page to download the zip file comes up with a "Source file could not be read" either by clicking on the link or right click > Save as.

Not sure how much I helped, maybe I'm doing something wrong. LOL

Thank you for the link. I downloaded the manual with no probs.

The manual is by Haynes .

This is a referance book that has plenty of pics and so on. How ever all Haynes are very generalized and shoud not be used as a bible. There are plenty of mistakes and outright wrong info in these books. However, being free as a download ,it is worth while having solely for the pics. and general info.

If you are going to spend your hard earned cash on manuals then PLEASE buy a real shop manual. You can usually get them for around $20 - $30 off of fleabay or any were eles.

Get the real manuals and you will never be sorry. (they also have a good resale value)

I haven't seen a FSM for my kicker (92 4dr) for less than $50 on ebay within the last 2 months. Even at that price I'd still like to find one.....

Hang in there. They seem to come and go in bunches. I couldn't find one for myself for over a month and then sudenly there was at least 6 of them all at the same time.

Even though the haynes manual is not the best , it gives you an over all idea of whats going on.

What I did was, use the haynes manual and then i double CHECKED on this forum to make sure I wasn't making any gross errors. The parts of the manual aside from the wrong pics is the torq specs are quite often way off and that in its self can be a disaster. So don't hesitate to use it, But please double check.

99% of the folks here are more than willing to help and most of them actully know what the heck their talking about.

Hang in there .

I personally don't think there's a difference whether you get one for Sidekick or Tracker. Take off the I.D. Badge and park them side-by-side, compare the two. Cosmetically, there will be a few noticeable changes, otherwise...the same.

Chevrolet/GMC trucks and many other of their vehicles have different names. But very slight differences that tell them apart. Chevy being a little less fancy (cheaper) and GMC....well, you end up paying for a name.

So, with that said. You can always go this route to get a manual ---> 1992 tracker manual, great deals on eBay Motors, Chevrolet on eBay!

that web page is a sucker page, it is for selling adds. ( NO BEEF !!!)
and has the POS haynes on it, haynes will nail them for posting thier manual.
many hundreds of web sites have been warned to remove this rag..

they sell that rag for $20 stores
it is better than nothing that is for sure.

until it gets you in trouble. it mixes years. and has you do procecures not valid for your year. bad news.

there are may fleebay sellers.
note some have ebay stores.
do not assume just because they dont have your year. suzuki they dont have it.
ask them. "ask seller a question"

"do you have 93 Geo tracker factory service manual" example.

get a geo tracker 92-95 , the 95 is best and covers all 8v and16v motors.
and 95 has cruise and abs for free.

if you have a 96 the whole manual is on line. see my first links on my web page.

acks faqs its called. this covers 96-98

if you have older than 90 (inclusive) there is little.

real Suzuki manuals are rare and expensive.
the GM books are everywhere.

The differences are very minor and mostly cosmetic.
