Default Aftermarket mufflers

I'm looking to do a CAT back system on my 95 2dr auto with 16valve engine. I live in San Diego so I need to keep the cat on. But I was wondering what mufflers u guys have used and work best for it. The only thing I want to avoid is making it sound like a rice rocket civic. Let me know what u guys think.

I bought my muffler and tailpipe a couple of months ago on TAS
(That Auction Site).
It took a couple weeks to arrive, I suspect they didn't build it
until the order was placed.
It fits well, the tone is a little different. The end of the
tail pipe doesn't have the resonator (or whatever it is called)
or the shiny metal heat shield on the muffler,
so it is not an exact replacement, but it just bolted on.
An air impact wrench helped loosen the bolts on the flange.

Over all, a positive experience.

Well I got bored today and went down to my local pepboys and bought a cherrybomb turbo muffler with 2 inch inlet and outlet. Turns out it has a new cat that is already 2 inch so I just cut there and welded in the muffler then added a 2 inch pre bent elbow and a tip out right infront of the back tire. Looks sweet and sounds even better. The best part is that all the supplys only cost mr about $40 and about an hours worth of work

I did the same thing with mine. Put a cherry bomb on it from autozone and it sounds great. Not overly obnoxios but makes a nice rap

I too hate quiet vkills,I once had a '69 Skyrocket that my wife wouldn't ride in{and other stories of a certified lunitic.
With four bangers I like the "english sports car" sound and Trackers rev a bit high {35 at 110k} Any body remember "Thrush" mufflers? they didn't last long, but they had a fantastic sound.
