Default Fuel pump fuse

Hello everyone

I own three trackers on my 1991 Chevy Tracker I started it and let it run for a few minutes than I moved it. Later I tried to start it and it wouldn't start.

I have spark and it did run on quick start so I assume it's the fuel pump.

Does anyone know if there is a specific fuse for the fuel pump.

I've test the relay and it is fine but I can not find a fuel pump fuse in the block or under the hood.

Thanks Mitch

it must be something other than the fuse. The pump runs off the FI circuit that also feeds the main relay that also feeds the computer so you wouldnt have spark. Do jerrys simple fuel pump test (have someone hold their ear up to the fuel filler and you cycle the key.

Pump is dead ,now what

dont assume.

id say (data) that 1/4 dead fuel pumps are bad fuel pumps actual.

#1 clogged filter and if not changed kills the next pump dead.
#2 bad connections.

no secret how it is wired this 8v Trackick.

the pressure test port is on the filter , next to front edge of tank.
30psi is typical.

the pump only runs for 3 seconds, each key on.
listen at filler cap. for buzzzzzz
stop.
during cranking and running it runs full time.
that is why you dont want to dead head it. with a clogged filter.

Check for fuel at the injector. If you pull off the return line from the regulator and cycle the key with a cloth wrapped around the regulator fuel should pour out of the return. If it does your next step would be to check for injector pulse from the ECM. Have someone crank the motor while looks down at the injector (carefully) and see if gas is being sprayed. If not then I would ohm out the injector. The spec is 1-2ohms. The injector harness is part of that plug down by the base of the intake. I think it is a red and yellow wires (just follow the two wires from the injector down to the plug though). If the injector checks out your next check IMO as a Suzuki tech is the ECM. Remove the ECM from the vehicle and carefully remove the cover. It is located under the driver's side of the dash way up - two screws hold it in - it's a bit of a pain in the ass to remove but doable. Check the circuit board for burned areas, particularily in the lower left corner of the ECM if you have the harness connector end point down at the ground. Look for leaking capacitors or any tiny burns circuits. Sometimes they blowup where you'll easily see it, and sometimes it's harder to tell.
I just replaced an ECM in a truck similar to yours ('91 'Kick). Ran beautiful when spraying brake clean into the intake but wouldn't run after. Tons of spark and fuel but no injector pulse because the ECM had a big burned area where it controls the injector.
NOTE: If you ohmed your injector and it's something rediculous I strongly suggest replacing the injector and ECM as a pair. If you don't the fucked injector will take out another ECM. If you find the ECM is destroyed you could try finding a used one (that will suffer the same fate one day) or buy a rebuilt one. Our dealership buys from a company called Japan Auto Parts. I believe they are located in Toronto but I'm not 100% sure. Comes with a warranty and we've never had a comeback using their rebuilt ECMs.
My journeyman and I always say "A Suzuki will always start as long as the battery is charged and the ECM isn't fucked" lol. Good luck.

and there is spark, and the ecu thinks there is spark (read back wire) 2 diff, things.
and the TPS is not stuck at WOT or ground to TPS open, causing same.

my web page shows.
power to ecu.
spark good.
fuel pressure good ( id not run the turn line open you will have gas all of ther fracking place. that is crazy) ok feed it a 4 qt coffe can. get help.

then put a noid lamp on the injector after finding injector dead while looking at it cranking.

most 91 die due to bad main capacitor in ECU. in the corner.

never seen one that was good, if original "Rubycon" brand sill in it.

see my dead ecu page
and
my injectors dead page
and my dead fuel pump page.

break a leg

weve had zero bad , or shorted coil injectors here.

only 3 shorted , injector lines so far. which takes out the transistors.

my ecu page shows you how to fix the injector.
also you can run a 7amp fuse on the Plus driver line if you fear , blowing new ecu.

BTW a dead weak pump will fill a coffee can in no time.
and only tells you pump spins, nothing else.
a pressure guage tells you , it is at spec under load and the regulator is not stuck open or closed.

imho.
