Default 95 Sidekick won't upshift

My daughter has a 95 Sidekick 1.6 16v MFI 4WD 3SPD AUTO. When it's cold it will not upshift to second until it's been driven at least around the block. Speed has no bearing on the shift point. When it gets warmed up the tranny shifts up and you would think nothing is wrong as long as it stays warm. After it sits for a while and gets cold the cycle repeats itself. Any ideas on what is causing this?

My friend I had the exactly same problem, so after I read this forum and received a lot of
possible solutions (clogged filter, dirty tranny oil, etc....), it turns out that was my radiator, I mean the radiator has a tube on the bottom, through which circulates the transmission oil, this is the part that is clogged and should be cleaned. Also it's a good idea to change the tranny filter and oil.
Cold oil won't go through a dirty filter or dirty radiator, so it heats up and then it goes ok, but the fault return once get cold again.

Best Regards,
Marcelo.
