Default 1.6 conversion help....

I swapped a 93 tracker efi engine into a 88 carb samurai last week and I am having a hard time getting it going. here is what I have found so far.

key on both relays click. after 3 sec fuel pump relay clicks again.
when I try to start it. it will fire, but dies right after.

I have ohmed out all my grounds to the battery... reading 0.7 average
i have tested voltage going to the cmp... reading 12.7 volts
I have turned the crank slowly by hand with key on and each time the arm passes the cmp sensor I get a clear spark sound coming from one of the plugs.
I have looked into throttle body and seen injector spray one shot while cranking, but only once.
I am going to try and make a noid light today to see what I get....

any help would be appreciated....

when the pump runs at key on the computer is looking for a tach signal. if it doesent see it in 3 sec it shuts off fuel. When you start the zuk and the computer doesent see that tach signal then it will never turn the fuel pump off

well nevermind if the computer doesent get tach signal then it would never run

ok no injection
other that bad ecu
bad power to ecu.

that leaves 2;
1: TPS signaling wide open throttle WOT during cranking.
2: Spark feed back at spark suppressor module , brown wire open or missing.

wot at crank = UNFLOOD mode.
this can happen for 2 reasons, bad TPS, or set wrong.
or
open ground to tps.

wish youd say what motor, 16v or 8v , MPI or TBI?

total diff syst.; but above true on both.

one more very nice test.

go to DLC connector next to battery (oops missing)
place DLC diagnostic jumper ( oops same)
then crank motor for 5 to 10 seconds
release key (DO NOT KEY OFF)
ecu will blick out CEL code 12, 41 or 42, (oops missing)\

41 and 42 are missing spark read back or bad CMP signal (tacho as other said)

the ecu knows whats wrong and you car has no CEL so you can listen to it tell you what is wrong.

install DLC, install CEL lamp.

note getting spark that is OK , and getting the brown wire read back of spark is 2 diff things.
the spark read back is back EMF from the coil primary , about a 40 to 80volt spike.
if it dont make it back no injection.s

this is for crash safety ( no Read back OR no CMP , tehn no fuel , though no crash and Burn)

that is a mandate. so not unique to suzuki.
