Default need help fuel pump

alright my cheap fuel pump is overdriving my fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump relay. I need to lower the volts to my pump but how. I cant find a resistor that can handle that many amps and not melt.

Right now my fuel pump relay gets quite warm because the fuel pressure regulator is holding back the pump so much. I already added a dedicated line to the relay strait from the battery.

he has this huge fuel pump installed. enought for AAA fueler, on fire.

i would guess at 8 - 10 amps.

id try 1.5 ohms . (to start) ( about what i guess the pump is now)

40 watts minimum. ( this wont be cheap. the resistor)
more than a new suz, spec. pump. most likely.

what you really need is a pulse width modulator for the pump.

like what electric cars use.

but those are expensive. too.

cheers.

PS: i know that would happen. sorry.

Thanks for Idea for the PWM I got this
PWM Pulse Width Modulator HHO Hydrogen Generator 30 amp:eBay Motors (item 330336453484 end time Jun-15-09 18:41:10 PDT)

only 25 bucks and I can use it for other stuff when I retire the zuk I just dont feel like dropping the tank again and putting in another pump I can also use the pump/pwm on something else too. I dont expect the zuk to last all that long maybe 1.5-2 years till I am done with college.

Once again, why not a '94-95 aftermarket Crown Victoria fuel pump? Any taxi company will have them or know where to get them.

is see a Bosch for $118 at O-Reilly auto.
and the top names form $100 to $280 in brick stores. ( the most you can pay really)

dealer is $280- $321 , 2d and 4dr, and comes with whole rack.
they dont sell pump neat. (no so neat?)

some suggest an external pump, but tell me how well that works sucking fuel thru
a dead pump in tank?

that Bosch sounds good. to me.

Only modification is splicing +/- wires w/ crimped butt connector or gray wire nuts. I hate chinese crap more than anyone but there is a small difference betw. Tiawan and Mainland crap. I've put hundreds in taxicabs for years w/o any failures.

Is this applicable to other cars? I have had four in my 96 Express Van so far. That is why I have the Suzuki. Now after becoming familiar with the SideKick, I am having serious doubts whether to even continue with plans for the 7th trans rebuild on the Express. May just junk it....

Taiwan is not a problem. been so for ages.

it's that Red China junk. ( there are gems?, but how do you wade thru all the junk to find the diamonds in the rough, and why bother?)

show a source. we love links, sources, names,

i tend to ,say to sell , gee, am I going to want to change this again. (wow, tank offs suck) and if not , then i shop by brand name.
beck, bosch, Delco, , not RedStar brand or NO NAME at all as is so common out of China main land.
