hi, I drove mine from the SD Badlands home which is about 500 miles. And well its not like driving a cady and you sure as heck aint't going to fall asleep at the wheel with the stiff ride. But I kept the speed at about sixty all the way and never had a problem. In fact I thought I had a problem with the old EGR valve but it some how cleared up ( I used the highest octane I could buy all the way). And there again it may have been just been a run cleaning out some of the carbon build up.Had 100,000 miles at the time.
But honestly only you know the condition of your tracker/zuki
I did stop every sixty or seventy miles for a good strech and some coffee. And yes I would do it again. How ever my passange may not agree.
I'm sorry but there is no real answer since we are all different in what we want and expct from our tracker/zuki. So if its mechanicaly sound then it will make it.

I routinely drive my 89 Tracker between my places in Alabama and Florida (about 210 miles one way). I wish I had cruise control, but other than that it's no big deal.
Drove mine from PA (where I got it) to Florida (about 1200 miles) after the car had sat for about 4 years. No problems, although we did take it on a 500 mile round trip to the beach and back to test run it.
i drove from one city in ny to another, bout an hour and a half one way. drove there at speed limit, drove home at 100 all the way. no problems not even cops for once, thought i left the dog out in the awsome ny winter.

Just got my 95 and had to make emergency welder service call from Detroit MI to Bardstown KY (921 miles round trip) all in less than 24 hours. Made it fine, only problem was that in heavy rainstorm some wires under the dash got wet, and it would kick in-out of OD (4th on a 4 spd auto). I sealed the dash (still not perfect) and ran new wires between the shifter mounted switch and the TCM that's perfect now.
My 96 Chevy Express van still isn't working, as it didn't recover from its 4th trans rebuild, it almost left me in Iowa. This was also 5th rebuild, still not reliable enough to get out of the repair shop.
My point, the (133000 mi) Suzuki seems way more reliable, and I am learning to trust it more...

one can buy cheap generic cruise control. they are very simple.
and work good.
even a pure mechanical cruise control will hold a fixed speed (not on hills) and actually gives the best mpg possible.
in the 60s Chev PU trucks had a dash mech. cruise cable.
it just pulls throttle , and if you hit brake ,it pops off.
nothing fancy. but must be safe.
on hills it slows a tad. (on zuks , maybe lots)
boy the expess , id shoot that bugger. that is a money pit. wow.
sorry if you love it. but ouch.
maybe you can get a racing tranny up grade for it.
i bet there is a forum for it . with all the secrets.
all the best.
haha yea i changed all belts changed oil ned oil filter

Yes, jtgh,I should shoot the Express, it had a crummy MPFI that I had to replace, and I put on a new timing chain, and I finally got all the oil leaks stopped. I had to put on a new AC compressor, and weld up a freon leak, so it works good now. Still leaks antifreeze, but I have a new radiator and heater core, so not much left.
So I hate to give up, plus I put all the money I had into the trans rebuild ($1600) and it only made it home, then died. Since I paid $100 of that for a lifetime guarantee, he is willing to fix it again. But I have to R & R the trans, and get it to him.
Meantime a VERY good friend gave me her Sidekick, and although it had needed a lot of fixing, and rides pretty stiff, I like it better, and trust it more.
Another VERY good friend has my Van, and he will pull the trans, on his hoist (cool, eh?), but I don't want to be impatient about it, he does a lot for a lot of people...
