Default got a 92 tracker today

hello everyone, im new to this forum. i just picked up a 92 tracker 1.6 4wd today, and so far am loving it! there are some things i want to do to it to have a little fun off road (bigger tires, small lift, tube bumpers and a couple other things). I was wondering if anyone knows of good sites to find these parts and have any ideas of things i should do to the rig, what i should start with etc. im somewhat new to 4x4s, my other car is a little mazda miata (big change!). but again any ideas or suggestions would be appriciated.
on another note, one problem i have is the heater doesnt work!!! when i turn the fan on it doesnt do anything. i think it may be something in the wiring, and also when i turn on my turn signal (either direction) i sometimes hear a buzzing. i think its the buzzer for the lights being left on or the door open but that is dissconnected by the prev owner. it seems like he did a lot of ghetto wiring, because the last and oddest problem is the aftermarket radio only turns on when the headlights, or at least running lights are on!!! wtf!?!? who does that?!? but anyways ill shut up now and stop rambling on about my new toy. thanks for readingtracker1.jpg

Tintop those are my favorite,I have 2x'92,and a '91.Only been at it{trackers}for a year but have found that one popular mod for po's is to screw up the wireing.
Good luck/have fun

awesome, now i have more toys to look at! but i have a couple more questions, though. first, what do you recommend as far as grill guards/tube bumpers, and second, how big of a job is a body lift, i know the body has to be seperated from the frame, but does that require a really hight lifting jack or something or is there an easier way to do it. im looking at the calmini 3" body lift but don't know if thats something i can do in my garage.
and one more question, what is the biggest tire i can put on my rig with no lift?

No lift: 235/75R15

I run 31x10.5R15 with 2" of coil spacer lift.

From what i hear, a 3" body lift is a royal pain in the ass over the 2". 3", gotta extend brake lines, steering shaft, fuel filler hose, shifters, and some other stuff. 2", shouldnt have to do any of that. Is the extra 1" worth it? Your call, if mechanically inclined go ahdead for it. For me, I will be doing 2"

I highly recommend a set of coil spacers for lift too (or longer springs). i did coil spacers, and for $65 shipped I had ~2" of lift. Use 2" springs in the back and 1.5" springs in the front (sounds stupid... but trust me on this one, its what you want)

Pic of my rig with 2" Rear spacers, 1.5" Front, and some bald ass 31x10.5R15

I've also made somewhat of a how to on the rear lift... (please excuse and disregard some of the unsafe practices... please wear shoes and use proper jackstands!)

i dont pretend to know much about tires, but what size is this? (ie. 29, 30 etc)

I actually ment 2", just a mystype. what ive been looking at doing is getting the rocky road 1" coil spacers front and back and eventually doing a 2" body lift. any ideas on that? how would just that lift and some bigger tires do for some minor off roading? and also how would this effect ride?

Its about 29". Thats the actual size of the tire, the tread is 235mm wide, the sidewalls are 75% ratio of the width, and made to fit a 15" rim.

1" lift would raise it exactly 1" in the back and about 1.25" or 1.33" up front. I don't have any experience with this combo, but I can tell you I love the setup that I have, it works great for me. I ran 31" tires with 2" lift in the back and none in the front for a while and it did rub pretty good while wheeling.

Yeah, spacers, not springs, lol. I was tires haha

I bought them from the member "Uncivilized" on the ZuWharrie forums. Cost me $65 shipped. Dont know if he still makes them or not.
