Default 15" wheels on a '98 Sport?

Will 15" wheels fit on a '98 Sidekick Sport? As I recall, they come with 16" wheels and didn't know if they NEED 16's, or just have them for "style"

A friend is looking for a Sidekick, or Tracker and I found this "Sport". I know if it were for me, I would want to have 15" wheels as they tend to be cheaper and have more meat (for a given diameter) for rough terrain.

I tried "searching" this site, but so far haven't found an answer.

Thanks!

I have a 96 and a 98 with 16's. Tried 15's but they won't clear the calipers on the front.

That's what I was afraid of. I guess they (Sports) have better breaks anyway. Thanks for the replies.
