Just wondering what pressure people are running 205-75-R15 stock tires at. My 92 4-dr Kicker users manual says 23 psi (as does the sticker on the door frame)?? That seems 'soft' to me......??
Hi, All tires are a bet different. The correct tire presure will be stamped on the tire itself .
The psi will be stamped on the tire itself. Look at the tire and you will notice the psi ratings will be in small numbers between the rim and tire.(usually about a 1/2 from the rim and on the tire.)
Forgot to mention.
These numbers are for normal city and highway driving.
For offroad these do not aply. IE for driving on ice (crossing frozen lake) I have run only 1/2 tire pressure.
Up in Canada winters are boring so gota do sometime for entertanment.
The tire pressure stamped on the tire is the maximum pressure rating. In fact the same stamp says to "inflate to recommended pressure".That's why I'm asking. Huge discrepency between the owners manual/sticker (23psi) and the tire rating (44psi max). I don't remember ever seeing tire pressure recommendations lower than 28psi for any vehicle I've owned. Vehicle weight is an issue. Recommendations for these same tires mounted on a full size van or pickup would probably be higher because of a heavier vehicle. Still,....23psi???
My '95 4 door Sidekick has a tag on the left end of the dash that shows tire size and pressure.
I tried to make this bigger, but it lost clarity, even tried PDF conversion, but if anyone knows the best file, size, and method, please tell me.

I can't imagine there's enough difference between a 92 4dr and a 95 4dr to justify tire pressure recommendations being so radically different. Same body/weight and same tire size.
Well, mine rides like a lumber wagon, maybe you prefer your settings. If the pressure is low, it will wear on the outside of the tread, if high it wears in the middle, but that is not a very fast indication.

Hi, No its not really an error You have to remember that the tires you are useing now are not the same as those that came with your tracker/zuki.
You will find that there are a lot of different opinions on tire inflation. For example my tires state 35 psi and I have always used 30 psi and never had a problem. In fact I have never worn out a set of tires on my tracker but have had them replaced due to weather cracking.
Barring bad alighnment and road razards tracker/zuki are really easy on tires. (not like my Ford)
If you under inflate the tires you will in time notice extream outside edge wear and worst case the braking of inside tire core belts.
If you over inflate you will get fast center tire wear.
As for me, I always under inflate by 5 psi due to the light weight of my tracker.
Please remember that this is How I do my tires and may not be correct But I like the reults and long tire life.
