Question coolant tube???

ok so the kicker on 31's is kinda down at the moment. i actually threw my number 3 rod out the block. i have however found another engine. out of a 92 tracker. its still an 8v 1.6 and from what i've seen and read. everything will bolt up right. i was told i need to change the coolant tube that runs alongside the block. my only question is HOW!!! do i get that sucker off of both engines without tearing them up? any ideas of suggestions??

I'm assuming you are talking about the tube that comes out of the back of the water pump. I'm thinking your going to have to take some of it apart to get it out. I think you might be able to do it with out taking the intake off but not sure. there is going to be a bolt on the top of the tube bolting it to the block. I will take a look at my 8v i just pulled out of a tracker its still all together so i can see what will have to be done. also what is the difference in the tubes that you have to change it?

here is a pic of my motor there is alot more room then on my 16v. since you will be pulling the motors for the swap it will be easy to do. might be able to go it with out pulling that bracket off or you if you do have to move the bracket you can just pull the to bolts that connect it to the intake and then loosen the one that is on the motor mount and swing it down. then there are two small hoses that go to the intake from the tube and then the bolt. after you get the bolt out i'm sure the tube is going to give you problems coming out have to work it out but it will come out.

heat it , and while cooling, feed it , some penetrating oil.
if that dont work. then just heat. and gentle force.

its just 6mm steel bolt in to alum.
