Converting Auto Vitara to Manual

hiya all

I'm new here and looking to get a vitara, ive been offered one at the right price for me to fix up a bit (I'm an apprentice mechanic) The only thing is that the auto in it is a bit tired and I dont really want an auto. So im wondering how easy a manual conversion would be, I know id need the gearbox, pedal box, clutch and flywheel, any thing ive missed? are vitaras a cable clutch or hydraulic clutch? and would the transfer case from the auto bolt up to a manual box? Its a 1990 model, its the earlier 8v 1600 engine with carby.

I have been doing searches, I could find very little using every combination of words to describe what I'm looking for (that i could think of), Eventually i just worked my way back about 65 pages checking each thread that had possibilities and got a few more answers. but really nothing difinitive.

Though the two bits of answers i got are going to be very useful i hope, but i was kinda hoping for a tech 'how to' but i guess maybe i should take photos and notes as i do it to get the knowlegde for this swap into one thread.
