Default real Redline???

I had my 95 16 valve out on the highway today crusing at 80 mph at 4000 RPM it didn't feel like it was wound to tight. my question is the 65K redline on the factory tach feasable? i don't think i would want to wind it up that far about You??

we have a 92 geo tracker, we use for mudding, as far as winding it out.

i had it up at about 8200 getting outa a swampy area when i got nudged by a
dodge dakota.

held it there untill i realized it was wound that high an backed down to roughly 6000.

feasable yes, good idea, NO. easy to jump timing on that.. >.>.

as far as speed goes, i doubt that you could go that fast and reach that high, *to much wind resistance? and drag?* body wasn't ment for speed...

i have a 90 8v 5spd 4x4 and had it on the interstate goin around 75 and i was hittin around 6500. now i have had it up to around 8 grand but it didnt stay there long cuz i didnt feel like blowin it.
