Default JTGH, I read your fast idle post and

I read the 04-29 post on fast idle and I have an issue with fast idle at start up (1800-2300 rpm.) After driving a few minutes it will settle to normal. With what I read in your thread it seems it may be an air leak that may seal after warm up. Intake gasket or TB gaskets as you say. Any Thoughts ?

I will answer my own question. The throttle body gaskets were down right pitiful, put in gasket set problem solved.

You are right pieces of the gasket were hanging in the TB. Now it's about 15-20 sec. at about 1500 and settles to 1000 for about 30 sec and bottoms at 800-850. Also the very fine screen was really ugly. Cleaned it and all is well. Putting the new top on Monday and I will be thru restoring this machine. Paint, carpet, most every piece of plastic hardware, all gaskets except for the head gasket, some wiring, radio/ cd player and alot of time and money. It is what I wanted so I did it. Started with a $250.00 vehicle, $2500.00 and alot of sweat equity later I have a very nice GEOZUKI TRACKICK.
