Default Need Crankshaft Gear!!!

Finally pulled the lower pulley and gear from the front of my 1.6L 16V.

The part of the gear that the Crank Positioning Sensor is shaved down and fractured in pieces (as some of you guessed)....

I'm pleased that I DO NOT have to remove the engine and pull the crank out to repair the thing....

But: WHERE DO I FIND A REPLACEMENT GEAR???? (Besides a boneyard)

Repairing damaged crank and replacing seal. - Page 1 of 1

suzuki sells them for $25

what year, 95 is diff then 96

but you said sensor, so 96+

my home page at bottom has 8 sources , but Sw suzuki is cheap.

12630-57B01 96 cog bottom.
12619-53b01 96 bolt bottom.

never reuse bolt, that is why it failed in the first place. lots its streatch. ability.
the bolt has a finite life , no one seems to know this.

jtgh,

Again, your site and information has been priceless!

The keyway of my crank is slightly widened. But the key itself is bent and worn to about half it's original thickness!

I'll do the Locktite repair and replace everything as you suggest....

Thanks again!
Harry
