What do we want newbies to read first?

Hi all,
I've contacted a moderator for this forum and suggested we create a sticky thread to stay on the first page with information for people new to the forum. He says we can do that, so I'd like to see what everyone thinks should be on it. The title can be something like, "Newbies read this before you post your question." Or you can suggest a title you like. ... We know we want everyone to include the following information when posting a technical question: Country, Year, Make, Model, engine size, number of valves, type of induction, type transmission, 2WD or 4WD and any other information pertinent to the question being posed. What else would you like newbies to include with their posts or know before they post? What links to other sources of commonly used information should be included? Other ideas?

jtgh's site is a big one. id say 60% of posts are because of bad caps in the computer

The only thing I see that this site is missing is a wiki. we need a place to archive all these nuggets of wisdom....

I'd say the tire size questions. I see them alot, & I had similar questions when I got my Tracker. Seems to be a common theme.

I thought of something else to include with questions. Is your "Check Engine" light on? If so, have you pulled the codes and what are they? ... Also, have you used the search function to try and find the answer to your question?

I'd like to see,I guess you'd call it a glossary,since a lot of stuff is shortend to a few letters,like erg is a ,or pcv is a,These two are easy{for some people}'cause they've been on engines for a long time,I've been arround for a long time and a lot of these "codes}draw a blank.
That and the model/year/engine/trans type of info.
