Default How our lift kit will work but i need YOUR help

ok so im back,

most quarks are worked out *although removing the geozilla from a trail has directly caused me to bend the frame a bit *

oops.

on a lighter note, i have a set a coil springs to use as a liftkit for the front independant suspension.

95geo 1.8-1.9l DOhc 4banger.

idk the vin number

how do i remove the front independant drive axles? i have the hub almost totaly removed *all bolts and the like are taken out but it will not drop off.

so do i have to take apart the locking hubs and remove it like that?

looking forward to doing this tonight so any help will be much appreciated.

are you trying to get the cv axles out? if so its not that hard. driver side is eaiser than pass side. take the lock hub off by taking the 6 bolts off closest to the rotor. then there is a snap ring there on the spline of the cv shaft that that off. then unbolt the three bolts holding the cv shaft to the trans axle. then tap with a hammer to loosen it from the flange. should be able to slide that to the side and then out of the hub. pass side you will have to remove the lower ball joint from the control arm. then take a pry bar to the cv shaft where it goes in the trans axle have to pry kinda hard to get it out but dont break the trans axle. then if i remember right you might have to take the tie rod end off the knuckle also been awhile since i did mine. any ?? just post.

ok the part that looks like an A is the control arms. the cv axle is the part that has two rubber boots on it, one on each end. trans axle is the part that connects the cv shafts to the driveshaft to the t case. so what are you trying to do? i wish i had some pictures but i dont.

unfortunatly no the hub wont drop.

i hit the three bolts with a hammer, and smacked the hub around a big, and it wont come off. but i believe that i have to remove the clip that holds the shaft in, but even then i thought the three bottom most bolts would let loose, i think there seized up like the rest were * we broke a ratchet and a few open ended wrenches before pulling out the half inch breaker bar* so it could very possibly need headed and slammed.

we shall see.

but is that indeed how i remove it?

take those bolts all off and slide the shaft out?

the drive shaft is the only thing keeping me from using a spring compresser

ok if you just want the hub off where the bearings are then you dont have to take them three bolts out. if you want to remove the whole thing then yes you have to take them out along with the bolts in the strut. and yes you will have to take that snap ring off so the cv shaft will slide out of the hub
