On the rear of my Kick / Tracker, the lift was done with the 2" spring spacers. But the OEM shocks are too short and will act as limiters -preventing the rear axle from dropping all the way down.

To allow the rear axle to extend lower, you need to replace the OEM shocks with longer ones. The rear shocks from the '91 Crown Vic are ~2 inches longer.

This change gives you the same overall range of rear suspension travel, making for a better off road articulation and a smoother overall ride.
