Default Rattle

I own a 1992 Suzuki sidekick 1.6 liter 5spd 4x4. I noticed recently that I have a rattling noise coming from the transfer case or the transmission. This noise only occurs at high speeds after I have shifted into 4h or 4l and then shifted back out. The faster I go the louder and quicker the rattle becomes. I have check all fluids and took apart the shifters to see if it was a loose bushing, but every thing seems fine. The noise sounds like it is coming from the top part of the transmission or transfer case. Any help would be great

Check the bolt inside the engine to the muffler pipe. Mine was torn out but it didn't popped out because it's inside. I got it welded and now the rattling sound is gone.

Default fixed rattle on my 93 tracker

My 93 1.6 8v 5sp Tracker had a loose bracket that goes from the transfer case support to the catcon. Tightening the two bolts by the transfer case took out 99% of the rattling but the fastener on top of the cat is still loose.

I put it safely on jackstands and found the right rpms to make it rattle.
Good luck.
