Default Mileage

I have a 95 2-door convertable with the 1.6 16v, 5-speed. I get 25 miles/imp. gallon combined city/hwy. That's doing 70 miles per hour on the hwy for about half the distance.
Only had the Tracker for a month so I don't know if that is good or bad.

Mine has been varying since my dad has been driving on highway... 95-Tracker that is decent for the speed you are going. And the poster above me you have some issues, possibly limp mode ECU. I usually get about 24ish too, depending on how I am with the throttle on the auto. 5-speed is currently OOS (out of service).

Place this in your comment if you want help: YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE, TRANS, MILEAGE, AUTO/MANUAL HUB(if 4x4)

Default who's on First?

please post with Imperial or USA gallons , big difference those are.
Imperial is long UK gallon.

my 8v 2dr gets no less than 25mpg (US) , even at 40mph in heavy snow.
File:GasCan.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
big differance, huh.
canada/UK gallons are diff.

1 Canada(UK) gallon has 1.2 Gallons USA.
s,o every 5 CG nets a free USA gallon. so 5 CG = 6 UG. cool huh?

USA gallons:
epa specs 91' (old not new) is 27mpg(us) for most.

in 91 the highest reported usa mpg was 29 for the Samurai
and Sidekicks, as 27 mpg 2 door and 25 for the 4 door (5sp)
with a 3sp best was 24 and 23 2dr/4dr.
increase these by 20% for Canada/UK gallons. (suz prod. spec sheet 91)

so 27 mpg(u) becomes 32.4 mpg (imp)

driving style can reduce this by 37% (studies)
and if you local uses Alcohol (car not tuned for Ethanol).
so can Type Of EFI and smog options , country and altitude.

if you get less than 20 mpg (US) best cruise , the engine is bad. (usually)

I get about 28mpg in winter and 32 in summer.
Like you I have a 4-door JX (see below).

But maybe your tailpipe and intake modifications have
confused the computer (ECU).
Did you bypass the MAF?
Remove the catalytic converter or oxygen sensor?

He's better off driving a v8 4.8L from Chevy LOL, you can tear the tires up with this engine with some small mods. I sorta miss mine but I was wayyy to heavy on the throttle and it was geting me into trouble. Not like this little Zuk can't either but thats a different story.
