Default cooling issues

Ok so here is the problem. I drive a 95 kicker it has the 16v engine and it’s a stick shift. I am wondering why it is pushing the antifreeze out of the reservoir. It has over heated a two times but not to the red I’ve always caught it b4 that. Yester day I gave it a coolant flush and changed out the thermostat, and still does the samething. What could be causing this? Could it be a head gasket problem? Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Also my a/c stopped working sometime this summer could this be a symptom?

those other signs? oil slick, black carbon, contamination of the coolant,
signs of combustion byproducts in the fluid. not acceptable.
spark plugs, signs. green plugs.? or someother wierd color.

id have a compression tester on it so fast..... ( 4cylinders,,,, what are the nums?)

cap ,just look the seal, is is flat and smooth, not split down the side.

look for physical damage to the cap. it is a very crude machanical device.
it has a vacuum breaker device inside too, look for damage there.
