Default Is there low fuel sensor that blocks the starter?

I had my 93 4 door sidekick quit starting on me. the starter wouldnt turn over. nothing. (acting like i have not pressed the clutch pedal all the way) I was able to push start it fine it ran. I assumed it was the starter or clutch safety switch or something electrical. I also noticed i had low fuel so I topped that up and now its acting fine, starting no problem. Heres the question. If i was able to push start it and run it but starter didnt even try to turn over how is that related to fuel level?

Is there low fuel sensor that blocks the starter?

Could be bad wiring, starter, relays, switches... sometimes starters appear to be flawless but can suck all the batter's voltage and won't turn the engine over or even click the acuatator because it sucks power and internally shorts.

Default

try a fresh , barrowed battery.
then
this
Engine-will-not-crank-over

above works? or not ? (starter test it is)
and battery is dead the next day or while driving , you loose power,
like energizer bunny, beating drum slower and slower
you have
bad Charge system

if battery drains sitting parked in garage?
you have a Phantom drain. (see my dark current page)

control F is your friend.

cheap?
if keeping car, buy a life time rated starter.
if sell it inside 5year.
just get one out of a wreck.

if solenoid bad, just replace it.

carry a ball peen hammer. and get the truck money (youtube) and put him to work.
