4 speed O/D in 3 speed tracker

I am picking up a 94 Tracker with a 3 speed auto, i have a buddy with a donor vehicle which is a 95 sidekick with a 4 speed O/D trans. My 2 questions are if I'm going to run 235s with mostly street and maybe 5% off road is it worth running the 4 speed, and would the sidekick have higher gears then the 3 speed tracker?
