hi i have got the chance to get a 1.6 8v injection engine 2 go in my 1.6 8v carb model but im planning on keeping my monifolds (exaust inlet) but im worryed that there might not b a fuel pump on the cylinder head at side of inlet manifold as there is on my engine (carb model) any help would be greatfull ben
Mines an '89 1.6L 8v FI and my pump is in the fuel tank. You might be able to hotwire an electric fuel pump to a source on your ignition ( i.e. ignition on, pump on) but im not the greatest with these things hahaha.
i was planning on just using the block and cylinder head and keeping my carb and inlet and exaust manifold so basically changin an injection engine in2 a carb model if its possible thanks
thank u 4 the help the simply are the man so what u are sayin is change it frm manual fuel pump to electronic thanks changing the engine is a lot cheaper than fixing mi old 1 iv bought a 1995 1.6 8v efi done 64 thousand miles for 95 pound the engine runs fine but body work is rotten so im gunna put the block and head in mi jeep like i said thank u for the help ben
sorry, not fam. with zuk EU carbs. he didnt post , country or engine data. (mix)
if the float presses down, due to too high pressure. , that is a problem.
i scanned 2000 pages of old zuk carbi books,
no mention of pressures spec. (old fuel pump has built in regulator)
that is obscure data. for sure. id dont google either.
