its gonna be only off road use. 97 tracker. how hard is it to weld? dont u have to take the whole axle out?? since it is a forward facing similar to ford 9 inch. how dependable and strong is it when you weld it?

Default Not yet ...

Likewise, I've been trying to decide if I want a lunch-box locker, a store bought spool, or just weld up the spiders. So much seems to depend on how you use the rig. If your rig is for 90% offroad then a spool or welded seems like a great cheap solution. If you want more flexibility and less tire wear, the Lock-rite or LSD are more practical and less stressful on tires/axles. If you want the best of both worlds and have the money - ARB has been highly regarded in the 4x4 world.

ARB ($850 + air supply) and Lunchbox (~$300 ) and OEM LSD ($500) ...

Spool (~$110) ...
