Default alternator problems.

Ok, my 97 trackers alternator took a shit and I need to know first of all if anyone has a spare or a new one for sale. secondly, why the fuck is it way down toward the bottom and on the left??? arent you supposed to keep it high so it doesnt get wet or hot???? Im a lil frustrated... a lil help??

i replaced mine put a 100 amp HO alt to prevent light surges cause the system in it i sold my stock one of crags list but go look at auto zone they have replacement ones for about 100 bucks

What kind of alt. did you replace it with vonrotez, and use original bracket or new one?

Junkyards or rebuild one or buy new one... mine both have remanfactuered before I got ahold of it and both of em have new water pump too! Funny...

Yeah,they'er not fun to change,I put a new one on last winter,265.00 at napa.OUCH! There's less stuff in the way on the older ones but that back bottom bolt is still 1/4 turn at a time,with ice water running down yer neck.

yea it sucks. bought the truck for 500... dont want to dump a bunch into this beater! lol. I just got a set of 31x15R15 terra tires for it, for 100 bucks! I will post pics when I get them. Im waiting for my lift kits to come in the mail still.

testing 4wd action

you call that hard.
easiest car in the world to work on.
save a 60 chev.PU with a stove bolt 6 in it.

the later you can stand next to engine.

only got 16mpg though.

you dont have kids do you..
as who would want them reading this post.
