oh, i also need a good body cleaner. i took it paintballing once, used it as a shield, (it was a field beater at the time) and didnt bother to clean it off afterwards. then it sat out in the sun for a few months. now that im putting it back on the road, id really like to clean the crap off it. any suggestions?

the pic shows what im dealing with after i blasted it w/ my friends industrial pressure washer (a couple thousand psi i think, its enough to probably cut off my fingers anyway. im pretty sure he got it from a govt auction, so it blasts really hard)

I like it. Reminds me a little of the old VW pick ups. Maybe try some mild auto polish or solvent (mineral spirits/paint thinner). If you have a owner's manual it might give you an idea or do a google or visit a auto body/paint forum. Good luck

No, but if you try acetone(nail polisher remover) or Xylol (spelling?) experiment in an inconspicuous spot. Both are highly volatile so no smoking/sparks and keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Just a thought,if your going to cut the top, arent you going to have to paint it?Sanding should make the paintball stuff irrelevant

something else i was wondering about......
i was changing spark plugs earlier, and had taken the metal part of the intake tube off for better access. a friend of mine started it (w/ that thing off) and coolant started to squirt out of one of the little hoses that attach to it. for the life of us, we cant figure out the point of it being there. any ideas?

I always thought that the LWB would make a good pick up. You'll need to come back further behind the B pillar though unless you're really short.
