Question speedo off

i have a 94 tracker auto and the speedo is off by 5miles . at 70 i am only doing 65 and the rpms are at 4000. any reason also what is the vin code for auto

The speedom usually reads a little low. In the EU and possibly elsewhere the speedo is allowed to be approx. 10% inaccurate but is not permitted to read low. Manufaturers generally set them to around 5% high to allow for non-linearity in the speedo and for tyre wear.

It's common and nothing to worry about. Get bigger tires or smaller tires along with stated above the thread condition will cause a majority of these factors. I think the US is about that rate too.

unsafe-at-any-speed?
or look at my list here.
see all speedo gears for your speedo.
now you know what choices you have for adjustment.
so count your teeth and decide which way you want to go.

you didnt id engine so i can point to correct gear sets.

how knows, maybe someone put in the wrong gears.
not you but...
if you have larger than stock tires , the speedo can be speed up . use MT gears.
