changing form auto to manual

anybody done this to a vitara/sidekick , i can get a vitara but its an auto and i like manuals better ,To change this is it just gearbox flywheel and of course a clutch, and a extra pedal

The ECU has different mapping but work on MT. fine.
my mpg is not good with AT ECU on MT car. so i just got my MT last week.
I will report on my findings.

you never said 2wd ro 4wd, ?

the backup light wiring changes. aand the clutch /park lock out killing starts.
you never said the year either or if car is 3speed or 4speed.
the latter has other issues with Ecu.
ON 4SP THE tcm communicates with Ecu. i am not sure of the effect of
MT swap in. ( other than OD light flashing forever)

tell what you are driving besides just vitara.
