Unhappy 1994 geo tracker fuel problems

i have a 1.6l 8 valve efi 2 door tracker.
my question is the other day while driving on the highway the motor stalled after waiting about 10 min it started back up drove for about 10 min and it stalled again had to get it towed . i checked the motor by putting gas down the carb and it would run as long as i put gas in it so i fig it"s the fuel pump i checked the ground behind the driver tail light and it was bad so i ran a new ground still no go i then checked the connector at the pump and found a bad power wire repaired both wires and still no go i ran direct power to the pump and worked fine re hooked wires and no go i have power to pump when motor is cranking but no 3 sec power when key is turned on i changed what i think is the relay and no difference what am i missing ? called a mechanic to come and get it but would much rather fix it myself but am stumped any help would be apreciated thanks.

the fuel pump relay must energize for 3 seconds and release every key on. no start.
and when cranking , and when running.

you ecu is messed up. (maybe)

is Check engine lamp , on key on ,no start.
the check engine lamp goes out when rpm exceeds 300 rpm. (however)
if engine starts, CEL must go out, if not pull error codes, running or not with key on.

you can pull codes now. while cranking,
sounds like bad ecu.

or bad wiring to FP relay.
need a schematic.?

schematics to run engine

here.

I like how you say you poured gas down the carb but list it as a EFI (electronic fuel injection). Do the above test and check the ECU -- the weather is crazy now adays causing it more and more.

Place this in your comment if you want help: YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE, TRANS, MILEAGE, AUTO/MANUAL HUB(if 4x4)

many say carb when they mean TB.
but the other data proved it to be EFI , pump in tank.

some ecu's with bad caps.
will kill the enable sig to the FP relay.
others, do this click, click , click of the relay as processor keeps rebooting from the noise.
the caps keeps the power in side quiet.
if they dry out, the ecu act quite crazy.

in the summer we get clicker, in the winter we get dead ecu.
it might be low humidity ,as caps hate that.
cheers
