Going to Install New Auto Window Regulator...Pics to come
Just wanted to mention that I will be changing a broken auto window regulator on my 1997 Vitara as soon as it is delivered. I'll take pics to help out people who will do it in the future and want to see how quick and easy it is...
I'm also planning on taking pics of couple tune-up quickies to add to the forum library.
Well, it arrived today and I installed it in about 30 minutes, but didn't have time to take pics (but I will again next week). I was too upset about paying a huge delivery fee that tripled the price of the motor!
You have power windows? You bastard! Came with it? Lucky you.
Cody, I don't remember where I saw it (maybe an ad in Hot Rod or Rodding magazine) but there are power window retrofit kits. The window switch goes where the crank was formerly. If you're interested, do a search. Good luck

The model JXL came with auto windows and locks. Since I live in the Caribbean, I have items shipped through a US forwarding address and they charge a fee to send it here (based on weight and dimensions). The $40 regulator cost $80 to pick up here because the shipper used a HUGE box and that made it cost so much more. I am still pissed about it.
