I know that a lot of people looking to purchase a certain type of auto/truck/suv will look at forum sites for that vehicle to see the most common problems. I did before I purchased my 96 Tracker. I knew in advance about the EGR system being a pain and I also learned how to fix it here.
I just wanted any people reading this forum for the above reason to know that after I fixed the one problem I had with my Tracker, it has run like a champ from -5 F to +105F, in deep snow, sand, rain, hail and high winds and all while giving great MPG. I was lucky to find a pristine example when I bought mine ( no rust) and I plan to keep it a long time.
