Default No Problems with mine!

I know that a lot of people looking to purchase a certain type of auto/truck/suv will look at forum sites for that vehicle to see the most common problems. I did before I purchased my 96 Tracker. I knew in advance about the EGR system being a pain and I also learned how to fix it here.
I just wanted any people reading this forum for the above reason to know that after I fixed the one problem I had with my Tracker, it has run like a champ from -5 F to +105F, in deep snow, sand, rain, hail and high winds and all while giving great MPG. I was lucky to find a pristine example when I bought mine ( no rust) and I plan to keep it a long time.

Bear95,
Great. I had 4 kicks and only the last one I had problems with. Some are not as troublesome as others I guess. But I always babied mine in the maint dept.
One had 230K on it before my sweetie totaled it and the only thing I had wrong with that one was the manual trans. The quick lube place my future wife took it to said they were always checking the trans fluid when in fact they were not and it burnt up and stuck in 5th gear. But my wife kept all the receipts and they paid for it

"Why you...!!" *Shakes fist in air!!* hehe j/k & yeah, thanks to reading here I've solved my egr code (so far so good) & learned lots else good to know in the event of other probs. But mine seems to be doing well now that I've fixed the PO's neglect... & it's super clean with only tiny rust. (I'm putting the electro-shield rust inhibitor on it soon as weather permits.) Couple other things to address, like being sure the t-belt is good & adjusting lash to shush the top end... tune-up & pcv & I'm thinking i have a real good, versatile car. Then it'll be time for some upgrades perhaps. Thanks to all here for great support & input!!
