Default fuel gauge

I was dropping the gas tank off my latest project{'92 tin tip,8v}and broke the ground wire off the gauge sending unit,I tried the old sheet metal screw trick that always worked on my old Chevies, but it doesn't seem to have worked here,The conecter on the sending unit is completely gone,I KNOW the screws will break if I try taking it off,so,can this be fixed with the help of my friend Bullwinkle{Canada's equivelent of Micky Mouse

Default

are you saying the fuel sender at the tank is corroded?
there is no magic bullets with rust.
replace with new parts. or be doing it again, in a short time.

and making sparks is non too good either.
drilling it and tapping a Molotov Cocktail is non to safe.

IMHO, YMMV
