tail housing piece is vastly diff. of course.
same main case pn, i looked.
casual scan thru list (lots of AT parts mate)

carrier gear assembly planetary is diff. (this has the tail shaft) ???? so it might be longer , and is INFACT longer/shorter on all MT trannies for 4wd.
governer diff. has planetary gear set connencted to it. have dwg. Part id 21.
speedo drive diff
breather hoses, diff.

new prop shaft.(s)

the long tail housing on the 2wd is replaced by a short adaptor of the
xfr case.
the real question, is , is the part 21 , the same for the 2wd and 4wd.
the prn is clearly diff.
but that could be diff gears, or it could be longer trail shaft.
only measuring the shaft will tell the truth.

my guess, vague, is
i think the gear is the same , cuz if the planet gears are diff, so must be the SUN gear.
and it aint. so the shaft must be different some how.
that is my best shot.
no guaranteed on it.

cheers.
