is it throwing P0400 ,why worry it, after all the ECU on your car will throw that code at a drop of the hat.

yes do PM this path , it is a good thing,. Preventative maintenance = PM,no personal mail.
1.8L has a simpler system, NO MOD VALVE. No VSV valve, ECU runs the show.
The EGR does have a read back resistor in the MAIN EGR , see wires on top.?
so ECU dont have to guess what is wrong, IT KNOWS for sure. see?
if flow is low, it check that resistor, if it is in wrong position, it says, EGR main is bad.
if not , it is clogged.
