Turn Signal Buzz/not working

Hope someone can help. 1994 sidekick, turn signal left and it makes a buzzing noise if pressed down fully, and it does not work. I have to hold it 1/2 way down for it to work. The right side works fine. Any ideas?

Maybe the turn signal canceling switch is defective.

My 1990 did the same thing. I had to remove the turn signal/headlight switch and clean the contacts and pull out the contacts from being compressed over the years.
This involves removing the steering wheel so if you have airbags be VERY careful and wait for Jerry to come on and advise you how to disable them first.

Unfortunately it seems to be a very common Sidekick problem. A friend in Australia bought a 2dr Sidekick new in '95 and it was having that problem a year later. My partner's bought-new '93 Sidekick has had that problem the past 9 years I've known her.
