A/C Fan

ive got a 96 suzuki sidekick sport 1.8l, and was wondering if the a/c fan was needed for the car to run properly? was in accident and fan no longer works. is it an essential part of the engine on these sidekicks??

Only to get air through the condenser in A/C operation.

Only needed when you turn on the A/C.
