Default timing connector

hello i recently replaced my 98 suzuki sidekick 1.8L head due to cylinder misfire, now that i have it together i was going to time it, but, 1 week before that my dad and i were draining the water out of my washer fluid, my dad hates loose wires, so he cut a wire, now in my auto tech. class we learn this was the timing connection or the bypass connector. im looking for either a wiring diagram or a place to order the exact part because i only have about 2 in. of wire left.

you just need to tell exactly where this wires is, and what exactly what it is connected to.
and the color of the wire is important.

that is cop engine, no dizzy , just a cmp on the cam end.

excerpted attachment.

im a horrible mechanic but im still hoping i can bring my car back, today i used a scan tool or computer (i dont know what its called) i watched my spark plug degrees, it stayed at 8 even when we connected pin 4 and 5.
we are trying to time it with a timing light but it doesnt match the mark, another question does it change the timing if i, i think its called oversized the valves? and also i got home and loosened the distributor and moved it about 2 degrees upward. It runs better but i dont want to mess with it till i know exactly what im doing. thanks.
