Last couple of years when the transmission is put into 1st or reverse (when cold) there is a second or so before the tranny engages. When hot, engages immediately. Band adjustment or what else?

color pink , no stink, fluid. (burnt smell or brown is bad)

filter in pan clogged.

shift linkage wrong, needs adj.?

or you are needing a full flush. 100% not just drain 3qt and add 3qt.
