How much Transmission fluid ?

i have a 1989 sidekick
1.3 .... 3 speed automatic

I dont have a owners manual * sigh*

i had the gasket changed on the transmission pan
they put 4 quarts in than started it went tho the gears than checked it . was showing over full. so how many does it take ? less than 4?

one fills it and check the level after 2 quarts, most of the fluid is in the Torque converter clutch.
spec for pan drop is 5.9 pints.

so, remove 1 quart.
