Default Sidekick wiring

I might be getting a sidekick its around a 1994 something like that. I know its not obd2. Well The guy said the wiring on the floor rubbed through and shorted out and melted. He said he replaced it but he cant get it to start. He said that he got every thing to work lights and all it cranks but doesent start. I just wanted to know what wires run on the floor and to what.

What part of the floor? Up by the driver's feet? The back seat?
There are wires all over the vehicle and it may not even be related to the no start issue.
There are many things to check even before you go to the trouble of tracing wires.

what lawless said in spades.
and

the is a cable in the left side and if it grounds out the fuel pump ,
hasta la vista baby.

seat belts wires are not going to melt nore would the console park lights as the fuse should pop easy.
but the FP line is fuesed for 15amps, and might get toasty. 225 watts in fact.
the other wires are brakes lights , running lights, blinkers,
then most likely is the rear defogger circuit. \
not that really sucks some serious watts. (heavy fuse too)

now first look for illegal fuses in all fuse panels. !
some PO do crazy things with fuses. dont allow it.

but :
does the CEL lamp come on , keyon no start
do you have spark
do you hear the fuel pump run (only 3seconds per key on) while listening at the
fuel cap hole, cap off (2 people ok)
there is a start.

tell color of wire, we tell its function. no problem with that.
I have 91-96 fsm and full prints for elect too.

cheers.

I dont have it yet I am preatty sure the wiring is by the drivers feet. He said it just doesent start. I just wanted to know what wires run there. the man that has it had a head injury and the wiring got messed up before his accident. His wife wants it gone so hopefully I can get it cheap. so theres a wire there for the fuel pump? From what he said is happening it sounds like its that. the guy is smart I am sure he checked the fuses. Im guessing that he either missed a wire or something is still shorting. I guess Ill have to wait untill i get it if i get it

thanks for the help

update on this. I am finally going to get this next week. The lady said I could have it for 20 bucks. Ill drag it home and post up what I find wrong with it. Hey it might end up being something simple like that wire for the fuel pump or something maybe he fixed the problem and didnt replace the fuses.

One hell of a price, we will assist in geting it running ah. But shorted wires usually means a messed up ECU with these flaky caps or it was saved by the Zuk God.

for the average price of a ecu (around 100 bucks) it still isnt a bad price for a sidekick. When I get It Ill check for all the basics and get back on here with some pics of the wiring and the truck

I have four of these puppys and none have wires on the floor on the left side.Except for the seatbelt wires, everything goes through the rocker panel.

Default Electrical problems.

left hand and right hand drive.
consider that.
no mention of location, harness very bay country.so....
but here (usa , n,american. LHD)
there is a pile of wires on LHD cars that go to floor and the main feeds to left kick panel
and the under sill , and then behind seat belt retactor
ah here.

common.
hack job wiring to running lights, and to trailer connector
in left rear light well.
bad ground to pump
bad wiring or chafing all the way front to rear.

best (imho) is to trace the dead things, and stumble on damage.
Pump is in the lime light.

need more dwgs, just yell.
