Question Does Tire size really matterz

Hi all, I have an Escudo G-Limited imported out of Japan a few months ago.. I'm looking to change my tires on monday what I wanna know iz: would 215/55R/16 look much different than the 215/65R/16 it came with? would there be much of a difference? would it be noticable in the way it looks if i did the 215/55R/16 instead of the size it came with? the rear tires are still pretty good, what if I changed just the two front replacing them with 215/55R/16 ..see the guy at the tyre shop is giving me a really terrific deal on these size.. so I wanna know if i should go for it instead of the stock size..any input iz appreciated.

Thanks.

If you're using 4wd then the tyres must all be the same size or you will get transmission wind up. 185 sounds a bit narrow to be a stock tyre but don't know what your vehicle is exactly. Your signature says that its a 1996 with a 3.2V6 engine?

The stock iz actually 215.65.16..sorry I'm a bit tipsy hence the 165 mix up. what I'm looking to do iz put on 215 55R 16s do you think it'll be noticable difference in termz of how my truck would look? she's a bit high, even though it came this way stock she's seems higher than the rest Escudos around here... I'm worried that the lower profile would look a bit shitty on her. i dunno 65 or 55 would there really be a significant difference?
