Jimny front axle onto vitara

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the best front live axle conversion would be on my 1993 Vitara. The locking wheel hubs aren't working so i thought it would be a good time to swap the axle. Will a Jimny axle fit and does it have locking hubs. What sort of suspension and steering mods will i have to do

A Jimny axle probably won't be strong enough, the diffs are small like a 410 and ratios will most likely be wrong. The Jimny also has vacuum operated hubs, although manual FWHs can be fitted. The Sammy axle has been used with wheel spacers but isn't really all that strong stock. If you really want to go SAS then Toyota axles front and back are the best solution.

Thanks for that but what toyota axles are best to use as most toyota's are leaf sprung i thought. Would i have to convert them to coil spring and what sort of modification would be needed for the steering if any. Sorry to sound stupid but i've always had land rovers lol! Cheers
