Default interior lights and horn quit

Using information I got from this site a while back, i was able to fix my light problems. (I was motivated to write this by Bex who posted "lights and horn won't go off!!" )

The chassis ground behind the left tail light looked ok, and was tight. I removed it, cleand the terminal, the area where around the screw hole, and the underside of the screw head.

Re-installed everything with dielectric (sp?) grease, and viola! Everything worked.

I also removed the door switches and cleaned them, and the interior light assembly.

I hope this helps someone to save time if they have the same problem.

Thanks for your post! I had a bare wire that was shorting out in the engine compartment so I found my short easily. I have often heard about the importance of this connection at the left tail light - chassis ground? So far I have never had to do anything with it, but it is good to know, and probably look at and clean, as a preventative thing....
